Try It!
We all get into ruts. We do the same thing over and over again. It's comfortable. It doesn't make waves. We do it in every area of our lives. And we do it in our marketing campaigns. But now is the time. Time to try something new.
Shoppers get bored very easily. You only have to look at the television during the course of the day to see that is true. Every commercial is trying to grab your attention with rap music, flashy graphics and well known actors. But is that something you will remember? Maybe not.
Ask yourself this question. If I didn't own this business, would I notice this ad? Would I stop and look it through it's entirety? If the answer is yes, you are on the right path. If the answer is no, it's time to try something else.
So go in a different direction. Are your competitors on Twitter? If so, punch up your image there.
Does radio keep your buyers in suspense? Then reach out to the station that your audience listen to and pop out a commercial. Or do you have a local magazine everyone grabs? Maybe it's time to put in a quarter page ad.
The thing is to use what is working for you until it is not. And don't be afraid. New things bring new possibilities, and new customers.
