Dream Outside The Box


I have less than 15 seconds to get your attention. Fifteen. That is not much time to grab your focus, hold it, and pray that you retain what I am trying to share with you. In fact, it's almost impossible. So the ordinary conventional ways of doing business, (the boys club, the standard routine), seem to be out of the norm now. What's a marketer to do? Dream outside the box.

As each generation gets used to having social media at their fingerprints at all times, we get immune to advertising. It's true. It is as if we are cockroaches and get used to the poison someone is setting out for us. After a while, it is not effective. You have to be different. You have to be clever. You may be selling tires, but those tires have to showcase the corvette I hope to be driving.

It's not easy to always have a campaign that knocks it out of the park. And actually, there is no magic formula that guarantees if you used this or that, that it will work out. Doing something different will shake up your company canvas. And that may be just what you need.

The fact is, if an idea really inspires you, it may just well capture someone else's attention. Give it a try. Those dreams may just become reality.
