To Tweet Or Not

As social media platforms come and go, you have to ask yourself, which one will work for me? Each have their own advantages and disadvantages but it can be difficult to really know where you should spend your hard earned dollar. But I am noticing that the question everyone is focused on right now is if Twitter is for their business? Since your time is valuable and you want to make the most out of wherever you market, you may be wondering whether to tweet or not?

I find Twitter is very business specific. Certain companies do very well in this medium. But it does not work for everyone. What I would really like to stress is, if you have tried to tweet and did not get a great response, please do not force it. Twitter does not work for a couple of my clients. I no longer take the time to continue to pursue an audience I just cannot capture. The network moves very quickly and for my client, Bee Brothers, who showcasing the activity of rescuing a honeybee hive, I cannot get most people to stay around long enough to really get into the slow process of rescuing a hive.

That's okay. My client is aware and we just focus on others like Facebook and Instagram stories. The wonderful world of social media gives everyone options and your job is to find the one your business was made to merge with and promote that connection.

Save Twitter for your personal life. There is always a 40 second spot you can impress your friends with, like a great date!
