The Blame Game


Looking for the right promotional idea can take months of strategy and planning. What looks good on paper does always translate well to the screen. So what do you do when it goes wrong? The one thing you shouldn't do is play the blame game.

No one, and I mean no one can promise you that every campaign will work out like gang busters. Social media changes at a mile a minute. So take a step back. Is it possible to make just a few small changes to revamp and execute it again? Can you try a different avenue? Is your content to long or to short? Is it confusing? Or are you targeting the wrong audience? These are all very legitimate questions to ask yourself.

We learn more from our fumbles than we do from our successes. The key to recovering from that mistake is to take that knowledge and improve on it for the next time.

Nothing in business is guaranteed except long hours and crazy decisions. Just another chapter in the world of being the boss.
