I Like It
Invariably, at one time or another the question that I will get from someone who owns a business is, don't you just love...? Meaning, which social media forum, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and so on do you I like this most. I always wonder if they believe that my answer will be the answer to their advertising problems. When in reality what I prefer may have absolutely nothing to do with what they should be doing for their company.
You can like a platform and never use it for yourself. I like Instagram, and have used it in the past. It works well in my opinion for small companies like painters, bee keepers, and the such. The story segment allows them to show a service they provide that a customer can see first hand. Brilliant marketing!
But it doesn't work for my organizing business. My process is to slow. My viewer gets bored and tunes out. That's okay. Pinterest has helped in this arena. So you see, what I like may not have any thing to do with what choices I should make. And the same can be said for you.
I don't want to beat an old drum, but there are no two businesses that should construct similar ads. The world of advertising is always going to be trial and error. So how do you hedge your bets?
Thoroughly plan out your campaign. Look at what has work for you in the past. Keep good notes that you can refer back to in the months and years to come. Look at your competition. What stands out for them? And offer and showcase what makes your business unique.
Reduce your risks at all costs. And when your strategy brings in your new clientele, well, you will definitely put those new sales in the like column.
