When One Door Closes
I haven't written a blog in several weeks, and it is only because my heart has been broken. After months of prayer, meditation, and anguish, I have decided to close my other business, Organize It.
I say my heart is broken because this is my first business that I owned all by myself. And I loved it. There was quite a bit of hard work to get it off the ground. Social Media Solutions was created because of Organize It. I didn't know how to market my new business and I could not afford to hire a marketing firm. So I created a Facebook page and away I went. From there, ads and blogs were formed. I tried Instagram and Pinterest. I was writing about something I loved to do, so SMS was born.
I say all of this to say, you never know where one phase of life will bring you. I closed the first business due to a slow economy and a bad set of lungs. But SMS is taking me into a new world. Writing content, designing campaigns, and promoting events are a new passion that I have really come to enjoy.
I am sad and will probably be for a while. But God has other things in store for me. So that closed door will become a wonderful, exciting opened window.
