You've Got To Bee Serious About Your Buziness
I have a most unusual client. Bee Brothers is a honeybee removal service located here in the Acadiana area. They remove honeybee hives from trees, businesses, homes, well just about anywhere. The hives are then stored in their own hive box and the honey is collected and sold to the public. This is an amazing business and I have learned so much about honeybees while promoting them. But the silliest thing regarding this? I'm allergic to bees.
Yes, I am allergic, though not as badly as I was as a child. While taking shots of their hives, talking to the owners, and even hanging out with the owners during a removal, I have never been stung! This whole process is mesmerizing. The owners have taught me to slow down, and be conscious of my surroundings and actions around the bees. This is definitely not something you learn in a classroom.
When I approach the posts I write about the bees, I have to do my research. I have to know what my client offers to their customers and the best way to express their services.
I do my homework. Getting to know these owners and what they do gives me a better understanding of how they should be showcased. This makes me a better writer, a better marketer.
It's not always easy or fun to put so much work in to an ad or campaign, but the results are worth it in the end. If you want to be busy, you have to get busy.
And Bee amazing!
