It's a wonderful time of the year. People are bustling around doing their holiday shopping. And your business should have a piece of that action. But all that glitters is not gold.
Though the holiday season may seem like it is getting longer, true shopping days can seem short for a company who is trying to have a solid financial boom in December. So make the most of the time you have left. First, look at your previous years sales. What marketing campaigns did you use? How did they work out? Make notes of what you didn't do as well. Learn what your customers respond to and where advertising dollars were wasted.
Don't be afraid to try something different. Try a giveaway. Have a secret shopper analyze your store. Offer a unique service like delivery or gift wrapping. Standing out from the crowd is important. You deserve to have new customers notice you, but you have to be noticed first.
The mad rush to get those last minute sales is on. Focus on what makes your company more than a glittery fly by night shop.
