Who Is My Customer?
The important question so many business owners do not ask themselves is to important not to ask. Who is my audience? Who am I really selling my goods and services to? Because if you don't know, no one else will either.
This may not seem like a big deal. You may tell yourself you want to sell to everyone, but some businesses really are for certain age and gender audiences. For instance, if your company specializes in orthopedic shoes, you probably should not set up a campaign on Snapchat. As well as most of Generation Z does not really follow anyone on Facebook, so your new tiki bar probably will not get much traction there.
Minnennials like to be catered to, so your message has to be short and efficient. Baby boomers however want the assurance that they are making a good choice. Once you know who your customer is, your marketing campaign becomes easier to create. And a happy customer is a repeat customer.
